About the Editor

Chuck is now semi-retired and works from home in beautiful Summerland BC on Okanagan Lake, a place with no street lights and still no parking meters. Simply a great place to live with a high speed internet connection. He is married with two adult kids, three grandkids and three wonderful and aging parents. He is a student of the Bible and a follower of Jesus Christ. And attends at Peachland Baptist Church in Peachland BC, Canada.

“I am a believer as my Dad always taught me…be prepared for anything.”

Chuck worked 14 years in the logging and sawmill industry; operated heavy equipment; was a foreman, shipper, vice president of sales, realtor, and a marketing consultant.

“If you are depending on a generator you cannot afford to have it down, or everything is down.” Chuck says don’t go cheap on emergency backup equipment…when it is urgent and you need it it must perform!

He likes the Internet’s ability to deliver relevant information on top quality goods and services in a superior way, allowing extensive research to be done fast and easily from home or work, and also provide the best prices on top brand name products.

“Being prepared and ready for anything also keeps you looking ahead and being on your guard. Problems will happen; they can be bigger than they needed to be when you are unprepared. I think everyone should have a backup generator. Many people needlessly died in Montreal a number of years ago because the power was off for days due to an extensive ice storm. Some froze to death in their own homes.”

Chuck likes working with hand tools and small and large power tools. He especially likes working with wood. He also likes float planes (and all planes), along with motorcycles and golf.
